What tools and resources would help you innovate in open-source prosthetics?

I’m part of the Open-Source Leg (OSL) project at the University of Michigan—an NSF-funded initiative advancing robotic prosthetics through open-source hardware and software. We’re building tools to empower researchers, engineers, and students to tackle the challenges of wearable robotics, reduce development time, and foster collaboration across academia and industry.

To ensure the OSL ecosystem meets the needs of the community, we’ve created a quick survey (less than 5 minutes!) to gather your feedback. We’d love to hear:

What tools and resources would help you innovate in open-source prosthetics?

How do you prefer to engage with new communities or projects?

What challenges do you face in prosthetic research or development?

Your insights will directly influence the development of new tools, resources, and community initiatives that benefit the entire OSL ecosystem.
